This past Friday featured another pair of entertaining intramural hockey games at the Carleton Ice House. The first match-up saw Athletics Red face-off against Athletics Grey. Athletics Red was able to showcase their speed and skill scoring a plethora of goals and cruising to an 8-2 victory. Kelvin Brooks’ hat trick led the way for Athletics Red.
The second game featured a pair of 1-0 teams as Athletics Gold battled Athletics Green. This was a thrilling game between two solid teams that came right down to the end! With the game appearing to be headed to a tie, Athletics Gold capitalized on an opportunity and scored with seconds remaining to give themselves a 4-3 lead, which is the same score they wound up winning by.
Athletics Gold will look to continue their winning ways this coming Friday when they take on the 1-0 Athletics Red squad at 2 pm. Meanwhile, the earlier match at 1 pm will feature Athletics Maroon and Athletics Green, with the latter looking to bounce back after a tough loss the week before.
