Additional Information

League Balancing

Registration information of playing experience will be used to create teams of equal skill level for the start of the season. All teams will be evaluated by league coordinators during the first three weeks of the season and if necessary, players may be moved  in order to ensure all teams in the division are as equal as possible.

Friend Requests

Please note that only ONE friend request will be accepted per participant to ensure balanced teams are created. League coordinators will do their best to ensure that friend requests are honoured if received before March 17, 2023. Friend requests for skaters are not guaranteed.  Teams made up entirely of friend requests will not be honoured.

Please note that circular friend requests will not be honoured.

  • A valid one-to-one friend request is when Player A requests to play with Player B and Player B requests to play with Player A.
  • A circular request (that will not be honoured) is when Player A requests to play with Player B, Player B requests to play with Player C, and Player C requests to play with Player A. All three of the requests in the circular example will be voided.

One of the goals of our 4-on-4 spring hockey program is to ensure that teams are fair and well balanced. Balancing team rosters can be difficult when groups of friends are all together on the same team. We feel that this policy will help with that goal and will also allow participants to meet and make new friends.
