Notice Regarding Excavation Work/Use of Pathways Between Alumni Hall and the Ice House
Starting April 10, there will be excavation work in the area between the Athletics/Alumni Hall Buildings and the Gym/Ice House, to enable a duct bank to be installed for the Cogen project. This work will take an estimated six weeks.
Due to the nature of the work, there will be additional noise in the area; however, during the exam period, noisy work will be restricted to outside of the scheduled exam hours.
The main pedestrian pathway south of Athletics/Alumni Hall will be open but narrower due to the construction, though there may occasionally be a need to close it off temporarily. The entire impacted area will be fenced off and signage posted.
During this construction, cyclists will be required to dismount from their bikes and walk them through this area for safety reasons.
Facilities Management and Planning appreciates your patience and understanding. All Athletics programs, fitness classes and exams will be running as scheduled during the excavation period.
