Recognized Paralympic sport, it is an easy sport to pick-up, but quickly builds <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">intensity<\/strong> and<strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\"> complexity<\/strong> as you develop in the sport. <\/p>\n\n\n                            <\/header>\n        <\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n\n    \n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"winter-2026-adaptive-boccia\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Winter 2026 &#8211; Adaptive Boccia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/rec.carleton.ca\/Program\/GetProgramDetails?courseId=834a13a6-ade4-461b-b39b-524b20700ef6&amp;semesterId=b0bf94ab-b511-493d-8bfc-b128c4ea4867\">Winter Registration Open Now &#8211; Register Here<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Unique to boccia is it\u2019s <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">co-ed<\/strong>. Everyone is welcome to play on the court together and against each other. It\u2019s a sport of accuracy and precision similar to <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">curling and lawn-bowling.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The court itself is indoors and is about the size of a badminton court<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each game lasts <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">four or six<\/strong> <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">ends<\/strong> and can be played in teams\/pairs or individually. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Players propel the ball (throw, kick, roll, etc.), towards the target ball known as the <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Jack. <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each side is given either<strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\"> six red balls<\/strong> or <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">six blue balls<\/strong> per end and try to score points. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The side closest to the<strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\"> Jack (white ball)<\/strong> at the end scores<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If it is a tie, a tie-break end is played to determine a winner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For players who take Para Transpo, access to the Icehouse Building is via<strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\"> Stop #4: Health Services\/CTTC<\/strong>.
