It is a sport of precision, control, and accuracy, similar to curling or lawn bowling.<\/p>\n\n\n                            <\/header>\n        <\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n\n    \n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"game-format\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Game Format<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"match-types\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Match Types<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Individual:<\/strong> 1 vs 1 \u2014 each player has <strong>6 balls<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pairs:<\/strong> 2 vs 2 \u2014 each player has <strong>3 balls<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Teams:<\/strong> 3 vs 3 \u2014 each player has <strong>2 balls<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Total Balls:<\/strong> 13 in total \u2014 <em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">6 red, 6 blue, and 1 white <em>Jack<\/em>.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"gameplay-structure\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gameplay Structure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ends:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>4 ends<\/strong> in individual and pairs matches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>6 ends<\/strong> in team matches.<br>Each player or team has a chance to throw the <em>Jack<\/em> once.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Starting an End:<\/strong> The end begins when the <em>Jack<\/em> is propelled (thrown, rolled, or kicked). Players then take turns throwing all red and blue balls toward the <em>Jack<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scoring:<\/strong> Points are awarded at the end of each end based on which side\u2019s balls are closest to the <em>Jack<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"equipment-adaptations\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Equipment &amp; Adaptations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Players may <strong>throw, roll, or kick<\/strong> the ball.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a player cannot use their hands or feet, they may use a <strong>ramp<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Players who cannot release the ball manually may use a <strong>head or hand pointer<\/strong> to propel it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"court-setup\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Court Setup<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Boccia is played <strong>indoors<\/strong> on a court similar in size to a <strong>badminton court<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The court includes <strong>six throwing boxes<\/strong>, one for each athlete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Players must remain within their designated box during their turn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"additional-information\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Additional Information<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Boccia is a <strong>co-ed<\/strong> Paralympic sport requiring strategy, mental foresight, and coordination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It was introduced to the <strong>Paralympic Games in 1984<\/strong> and is now played in <strong>over 50 countries<\/strong> worldwide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Game Format Match Types Gameplay Structure Equipment &amp;
