Our Junior Ravens Karate <\/strong>program is low risk with non-combative classes<\/strong> designed for beginners or children who want to return to the sport, focusing on discipline, coordination and confidence. Traditional G\u014dj\u016b-ry\u016b Karate<\/strong> is one of the main traditional Okinawan styles of karate, featuring a combination of hard and soft techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/header>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Junior Ravens Winter Karate (G\u014dj\u016b-ry\u016b)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • Work on gross, fine and complex motor skills that complement the many stages of development through drills and exercises<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Developing physical and mental strength, helping to lay the groundwork for a healthy lifestyle in the future.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Junior Ravens Karate program runs in the spring, summer, fall & winter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

    \n This program offers two levels of development in the fall and winter:\n <\/p>\n

    \n Introduction\/Beginner<\/strong> (no prior experience)
    Returning Participants<\/strong> (yellow belt or higher)\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Kata<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • The detailed choreographed patterns of movements<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The basic goal of kata is to preserve<\/strong> and transmit<\/strong> proven techniques and to practice self-defense<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • By practicing in a repetitive manner the learner develops the ability to execute techniques<\/strong> and movements<\/strong> in a natural, reflex-like manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
