Ravens Summer Basketball Camp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our summer basketball camp is instructed by Ravens players and coaching staff from the 17-time national champion Ravens Men\u2019s Team <\/a>and the three-time national champion Ravens Women\u2019s Team<\/a> (2018, 2023, and 2024). Participants will benefit from expert instruction and gain insight into the techniques and strategies that have made the Ravens a powerhouse in Canadian basketball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The camps are designed for players of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop fundamental skills, refine advanced guard and shooting techniques, and improve overall game performance. Options include the Junior Skills and Advanced Junior Skills Camp for ages 7\u201312<\/strong>, Guard and Shooting Camps for ages 10\u201317<\/strong>, the Super Camp<\/strong>, which combines guard and post training and the Competitive Elite Camp for ages 14\u201317<\/strong>, focused on advanced techniques for athletes aspiring to play at higher levels. More details on these camps can be found below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n * Swimming Supervision & Camp Swim Test\n <\/p>\n

\n Our aquatics team follows the\u00a0Ontario Lifesaving Society<\/strong>\u2019s standards for pool supervision, and all staff are fully trained and certified as\u00a0National Lifeguards,<\/strong>\u00a0ensuring the\u00a0highest level of safety and supervision for every swimmer<\/strong>. In addition, our camp counsellors are in the water with campers, providing an extra layer of support and supervision.

As per our admission standards, children under the age of 7 must wear a life jacket and are only permitted to swim in the shallow end. Campers aged 7 and older\u00a0may choose<\/strong>\u00a0to complete a swim test on the first day of each camp week. Those who pass the test can swim in both the shallow and deep ends, while those who do not pass (or choose not to take the test) must wear a life jacket and remain in the shallow end. Our aquatics centre provides life jackets in all sizes and ensures each one fits campers correctly for their safety and comfort.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n Ages & Friend Requests\n <\/p>\n

\n Campers are placed in groups of similar age and skill level for the week.

Parents can request for their child to be placed in the\u00a0same group as friend\u00a0by using the\u00a0friend request<\/em>\u00a0option during registration. While we strive to accommodate all requests,\u00a0friend requests cannot be guaranteed<\/strong>.

Requests involving significant age differences (e.g. a 10-year-old placed with a 15-year-old) may not be honored due to group dynamics.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
