\n Ravens Soccer Camp\n <\/h1>\n \n \n\n

Our Ravens Soccer Camp<\/strong> takes place at Carleton University\u2019s top class outdoor fields. The summer soccer program is designed to help improve participants soccer and athletic skills<\/strong> with a curriculum tailored towards the age and skill level of the players. There are various programs designed for beginner, house league<\/strong> and competitive soccer players. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n <\/header>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Ravens Summer Soccer Camp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The program was developed by Kwesi Loney<\/a> (former head coach of the varsity men\u2019s soccer team) and is overseen by Marcelo Plada<\/a> (current head coach of the varsity men\u2019s soccer team) and instructed by the players of the Carleton varsity soccer team<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed for children ages 5 to 13, the camp focuses on skill development, teamwork, and fostering a love for the game in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our *Competitive Elite Camp<\/strong> is geared towards motivated players aged 13\u201316 and introduces athletes to the training standards of university varsity soccer. The camp focuses on advanced technical and tactical development, while providing insight into performance, recovery, and mental preparation through training alongside varsity athletes. Participants will have the opportunity to train alongside varsity athletes, review performance through video analysis, and learn about the importance of mental conditioning, nutrition, and recovery. To ensure a high-quality learning environment, participants will be divided into age groups and further grouped by ability, allowing for smaller, focused training sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n

\n * Swimming Supervision & Camp Swim Test\n <\/p>\n

\n Our aquatics team follows the\u00a0Ontario Lifesaving Society<\/strong>\u2019s standards for pool supervision, and all staff are fully trained and certified as\u00a0National Lifeguards,<\/strong>\u00a0ensuring the\u00a0highest level of safety and supervision for every swimmer<\/strong>. In addition, our camp counsellors are in the water with campers, providing an extra layer of support and supervision.

As per our admission standards, children under the age of 7 must wear a life jacket and are only permitted to swim in the shallow end. Campers aged 7 and older\u00a0may choose<\/strong>\u00a0to complete a swim test on the first day of each camp week. Those who pass the test can swim in both the shallow and deep ends, while those who do not pass (or choose not to take the test) must wear a life jacket and remain in the shallow end. Our aquatics centre provides life jackets in all sizes and ensures each one fits campers correctly for their safety and comfort.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n Ages & Friend Requests\n <\/p>\n

\n Campers remain with the\u00a0same group<\/strong>\u00a0of similar ages\u00a0throughout the week, following a designated group schedule.

Parents can request for their child to be placed in the\u00a0same group as friends<\/strong>\u00a0by using the\u00a0friend request<\/em>\u00a0option during registration. While we strive to accommodate all requests,\u00a0friend requests cannot be guaranteed<\/strong>.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n Our cafeteria does not use any peanut or tree nuts in their recipes, and does not purchase products with peanuts or tree nuts in the ingredient list.\n <\/p>\n

\n There is always a risk of cross-contamination<\/strong> due to its open kitchens and self-serve style. Hence, we advise parents of children with food allergies<\/strong> to communicate these allergies to us when registering.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
