Shorinji Kan Jiu Jitsu

Jiujitsu (or jujutsu) is a broad term referring the unarmed combat system used by the Japanese warrior class. Training is based on traditional structure which focuses on effective and relevant self-defense. Approaches to unarmed attacks as well as both modern and traditional weapons, employing a combination of locking, throwing, striking, and grappling are taught. Training includes a mix of one on one practice, pressure testing drills, and realistic threat scenarios. Training methods are intended to develop physical fitness as well as mental resilience, while remaining achievable and safe for everyone.
