Junior Ravens 4 on 4 Spring Hockey
Our Junior Ravens 4 on 4 spring hockey league will provide participants with fun, fast-paced, wide open hockey with no stoppages or faceoffs. The openness of the game will allow players more chances to move the puck, develop their skills, generate opportunities for breakaways and allow goalies to experience more action.

Junior Ravens 4 on 4 Spring Hockey
The Junior Ravens 4-on-4 Spring Hockey Program offers a fast-paced, fun, and development-focused experience for young players. The format is designed to maximize ice time, encourage creativity, and keep athletes engaged throughout each session. Here’s what players can expect:
- Teams will play 18 games over the course of the season. There are no playoffs.
- All games will be 22 minutes in length with two games occurring every one hour of ice time
- When possible, games will be scheduled back to back or with a game break in between to minimize waiting time.
- Teams will play at least two games every gameday (Saturday or Sunday). In order to ensure that players received equal ice time, a buzzer will sound every one minute and 30 seconds indicate a line change.
- Parent volunteers help supervise the benches during games but no coaching will occur in order to encourage player creativity and learning.
- Includes a Carleton Ravens 4 on 4 Hockey Jersey
Full hockey equipment MUST include:
Skates, helmet with cage, gloves, shin pads, elbow pads, pants, shoulder pads, neck guard, stick

- Should bring their own equipment. We have some equipment available if needed.
Important Notes:
Friend Requests
- One per participant; must be reciprocal (no circular requests). Requests before March 16, 2026
- A valid one-to-one friend request is when Player A requests to play with Player B and Player B requests to play with Player A.
- A circular request (that will not be honoured) is when Player A requests to play with Player B, Player B requests to play with Player C, and Player C requests to play with Player A. All three of the requests in the circular example will be voided.
- IMPORTANT: If a large group of players all request the same friends because they previously played together in organized hockey, not all friend requests will be honored in order to avoid creating teams primarily made up of players from the same former team. These friend requests will be spread out over multiple teams.
League Balancing
- Players in all divisions will be assessed over the first six games (three weeks). To keep competition balanced, players may be moved to different teams as needed, and whenever possible, friends will be moved together.
Location
All games will take place at the Carleton Ice House. Parking is included in your program fees on the dates and times the program is running.
