Junior Ravens Football
The Junior Ravens football program provides a fun and dynamic learning environment for kids to improve their flag and tackle skills while staying active.

Winter 2026 – Junior Ravens Football (Elite Tackle & Flag)
- Programs focus on developing fundamental skills and techniques that lay the groundwork for more advanced learning in the future.
- The program takes place in our indoor Fieldhouse and on our outdoor football field.
- Ravens players and coaches work directly with our young players, emphasizing age-appropriate, progressive skill development — while staying active, having fun, and making friends
This program offers two levels of development:
Flag Football (non contact; beginner to intermediate players)
Elite Tackle (intermediate to advanced players)

Programs
Elite Tackle (U12/U14/U16)
- Junior Ravens ELITE TACKLE is an advanced football training program for experienced players between ages 10-15. Through three age groups, athletes will develop specific skills and knowledge through training and competition.
- This program has 16 weekly sessions (75 mins) that specialize in tackling, blocking and developing the technical competencies for elite-level football. It includes:
- Indoor and outdoor sessions.
- Testing and combine-style drills.
- Elite-level Coaching & Instruction.
- Guest coaches and speakers.
- Football equipment is provided.
- Youth Speed Development Program: For an additional price of $259, athletes can add 16 speed training, functional movement, and mobility field sessions to their registration. This program is led by Nick Westcott (Manager, Performance & Sport Science) and other coaches of our High Performance Centre.
You can add the Youth Speed Development program during the Elite Tackle registration process.

Youth Speed Development Add-On
- Our Youth Speed Development Program is designed to enhance movement literacy, speed, and agility in young athletes. The program focuses on teaching proper running mechanics, acceleration, and change of direction techniques in a fun and supportive environment. Through tailored drills and expert guidance, participants will develop the foundational skills necessary to boost their athletic performance.
- For an additional price of $259, athletes can add 16 speed training, functional movement, and mobility field sessions to their registration. These sessions run 5:30pm-6:30pm every Tuesday or Thursday without equipment. This program is led by Nick Westcott (Manager, Performance & Sport Science) and other coaches of our High Performance Centre.
- The Tuesday field sessions will run from Tuesday, January 6 to Tuesday, April 28 (no session on March 17).The Thursday field sessions will run from Thursday, January 8 to Thursday, April 30 (no session on March 19).

Flag Football (U8/U10 & U12/U14)
- Participants will be coached by players of the Carleton Ravens football team.
- A non-contact flag football camp that introduces athletes to football through developing fundamental skills in a positive and safe environment.
- Flag football is an excellent way to develop skills as a:
- Quarterback
- Receiver
- Center
- Defensive back
- The game promotes the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication and sportsmanship.
- This camp is geared towards beginner and intermediate players.
