Wheelchair Basketball
- Teaching basic skills such as pushing technique, dribbling, passing shooting, and will move into more advanced concepts such as team offensive and defensive strategies.
- Developing valuable teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership skills
The program head coaches…
Have over 20 years of experience playing wheelchair basketball at all levels (local, provincial, and international) and are eager to share their passion and knowledge with the next generation of para-athletes.

The Junior Ravens Basketball program is run in partnership with The Ottawa Carleton Wheelchair Sports Association (OCWSA) and with the collaboration of the Abilities Centre Ottawa (ACO).
We are thankful to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities for selecting Carleton University to receive a grant from their Sport Relief Fund. With Jumpstart’s support, we are able to provide equipment, quality coaching and subsidized registration fees for all participants who attend our Junior Ravens Wheelchair basketball program.
Junior Ravens Wheelchair basketball is an inclusive sport that is open to children with and without disabilities.
