Ravens Leadership Camp
The Ravens Leadership Camp in Ottawa is designed for adolescents who are interested in acquiring skills that will enrich both their personal and professional lives and begin to prepare them for future volunteer and employment opportunities. During their two weeks at camp, leadership campers will participate in daily leadership workshops and seminars lead by our experienced camp staff.

Leadership 1.0
Leadership campers will spend two weeks building confidence, learning real-world leadership skills, and preparing for future volunteer opportunities. Each day, campers will take part in hands-on workshops, interactive seminars, and fun challenges led by experienced camp staff.
After two weeks Leadership campers will:
- Be certified in Emergency First Aid / CPR-B and a Red Cross Babysitting Course by passing a practical and written exam.
- Gain both theoretical knowledge and practical leadership experience
- Receive a certificate of completion and a formal evaluation/reference at the end of the two-week session

Drop-Off: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Pick-Up: 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM
The 2026 Leadership 1.0 Camp runs in four, two-week sessions.
Session 1: June 29 – July 10 (*9 days no camp on July 1)
Session 2: July 13 – July 24
Session 3: July 27 – Aug 7 (*9 days no camp on Aug 3)
Session 4: Aug 10 – Aug 21

* Swimming Supervision & Camp Swim Test
Our aquatics team follows the Ontario Lifesaving Society’s standards for pool supervision, and all staff are fully trained and certified as National Lifeguards, ensuring the highest level of safety and supervision for every swimmer.
As per our admission standards, Campers aged 7 and older may choose to complete a swim test on the first day of each camp week. Those who pass the test can swim in both the shallow and deep ends, while those who do not pass (or choose not to take the test) must wear a life jacket and remain in the shallow end. Our aquatics centre provides life jackets in all sizes and ensures each one fits campers correctly for their safety and comfort

Babysitting Course Content
This course equips teens with the essential skills and knowledge to care for children safely and responsibly. Campers must pass a practical and written exam in order to receive certification.
- How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership
- How to make good decisions and manage challenging behaviours
- Understanding children’s developmental stages, with strategies for each stage
- How to feed, diaper, dress, and engage children and babies in play
- How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations and promote safe behaviours
- Basic first aid skills
- An introduction to the business side of babysitting
Emergency First Aid with CPR B Course Content
This course provides campers with essential first aid and CPR skills to respond confidently in emergencies. Campers must pass a practical and written exam in order to receive certification.

Includes CPR-B certification. Recognized by Ontario’s Workplace Safety & Insurance Board.
Campers must pass both a practical and written exam to receive their Babysitting & Emergency First Aid with CPR-B certification

Important Notes
- Although many of our volunteers and full time staff have previously completed the Ravens Leadership Camp, camp attendance and completion does not guarantee future employment or volunteering opportunities within the Carleton camp program.
Our cafeteria has a selection of vegetarian, gluten free and Halal food options.
Our cafeteria does not use any peanut or tree nuts in their recipes, and does not purchase products with peanuts or tree nuts in the ingredient list.
There is always a risk of cross-contamination due to its open kitchens and self-serve style. Hence, we advise parents of children with food allergies to communicate these allergies to us when registering.
No outside food is allowed inside the dining area.
