Canadian Swim Patrol – Level 1

Rookie Patrol is the first level of the Lifesaving Society’s 3-level Canadian Swim Patrol Program for swimmers who are ready to go beyond learn-to-swim. 

Swim Patrol 1

• Continue stroke development with 50 m swims of front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke
• A 25 m obstacle swim and 15 m object carry
• First aid focuses on assessment of conscious victims, contacting EMS and treatment for bleeding
• Fitness improves in 350 m workouts and 100 m timed swims.

Important Notes

• Refunds or credits for missed private/semi-private or group lessons will not be provided.
• Make-up lessons can not be arranged, and substitute (non-registered) swimmers are not permitted.
•  Please arrive (10-15) minutes before the start of the class and proceed to the Welcome Centre Desk to check-in before going to the pool-deck. 
• There will be several showers available for brief usage.
• The main locker rooms will be available and some lockers are available for day use.
• Bringing clothes & valuables to the pool deck in a gym-bag is recommended.
• Includes Lot 5 Parking.
• Registration is required in advance and space is limited.
• The Pool Gallery is available for parent/guardians.
