Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor
The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life program.
Winter 2026 Registration Open
December 10th @ 9am
Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, planning skills, and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques.

Prerequisites
- Must be at least 15 years old
- Bronze Cross certification (need not be current)

This is a 20hr course. Candidates are progressively evaluated, so 100% attendance is required.

Location
- Course will begin in the boardroom on the 3rd Floor of the Athletics Centre.
- Manuals Pack will be issued during the first session.

- Effective January 1, 2026, a Capital Renewal Fee (CRF) of 3% will apply to select non-student facility rentals, programs, and services. This fee supports long-term facility maintenance and renewal, with all funds directed to a dedicated capital renewal fund. Certain exemptions may apply. - Arrivals for this course should should check-in at the Welcome Centre Desk in Alumni Hall
- Note: Lot 5 parking is not Free
- Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes before the start of the class
