Standard First Aid, CPR – C/AED Certification
This training course covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. It incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including: legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, chest injuries, and medical emergencies. Includes CPR-C certification.

Please Note:
The first aid program is not restricted to aquatic candidates. You can use the Lifesaving Society’s first aid awards to train non-aquatic staff (camp, playground, maintenance, etc.) and the general public.
This SFA certification needs to be recertified every three years.

Lifesaving Society Verification of Identity Policy
Candidates will be required to provide their Instructor/Examiner proof of government-issued ID with a photo, date of birth and name for all original vocational courses and recertification, effective January 1, 2026. For additional information please visit their website.

- Arrivals for this course should should check-in at the Welcome Centre Desk in Alumni Hall
- Lot 5 parking is not Free
- Please arrive 10 -15 minutes before the start of the class
- Registration is required in advance and space is limited.
Notice (1):
The manual fee is built into the course fee as it is a required resource in the course. Manuals will be issued at the first session.
If you would like to opt out of purchasing a manual because you already have one, you must call (613) 520-4480 or register in-person at the Welcome Center desk in Alumni Hall.
