Foundations of Athletic Performance Program
Our Youth Performance Program is designed for athletes ages 12–15 who are ready to build a strong foundation in strength, coordination, and overall athleticism. Delivered in the Carleton University High Performance Centre, the program provides a holistic development experience that builds every major facet of performance in a safe, age-appropriate, and professionally coached environment.

Foundations of Athletic Performance Program
This program gives athletes ages 12–15 a solid starting point to develop strength, coordination, and overall athletic ability. Hosted in the High Performance Centre at Carleton University, it offers a supportive, professionally guided environment where young athletes can train safely and build well rounded physical skills..
- Two sessions per week for eight weeks (16 one hour sessions total)
- Training focused on speed, agility, strength, coordination, and movement quality
- Challenging, fun, and developmentally appropriate workouts
- Builds confidence in movement for success across any sport
- Guided by qualified coaches in a positive, supportive setting
- Helps athletes develop strong training habits and long-term athletic foundations
This program is ideal for young athletes looking to enhance their strength, movement skills, and overall performance in a supportive, professionally coached setting.
The program follows a structured progression:
Session 1 — Educational Introduction
Athletes are introduced to weight‑room safety, proper navigation of the space, and foundational exercise technique. This session builds confidence and ensures athletes understand how to move safely in a performance environment.
Session 2 — Baseline Performance Evaluation
A comprehensive assessment using both field‑based tests and gold‑standard technologies establishes each athlete’s starting point across key performance qualities.
Sessions 3–15 — Progressive Training Phase
Athletes participate in structured, developmentally appropriate training designed to build strength, speed, coordination, explosive capacity, and movement competency. Sessions will build progressively to support safe and meaningful improvement.
Session 16 — Follow‑Up Testing & Individual Report
Athletes complete a post‑program evaluation mirroring the initial testing. Each participant receives an individualized summary report comparing pre‑ and post‑program results, highlighting progress and outlining recommended next steps.

Dates
This program has 16 sessions (1 hour long) running from May to June. The cost of the program is $349.
