Aquatics Employment Positions
We welcome ongoing interest in employment opportunities. Resumes and qualifications can be submitted at any time to aquatics@carleton.ca. Candidates will be screened and interviewed as needed throughout the term.
Application Process – Fall ’26
As part of the hiring process, all applicants are required to attend an in-person screening. This screening consists of an in-water evaluation of lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR skills, followed by an interview to assess instructional experience, communication abilities, and customer service skills.
Interested applicants must submit the online application form using the link below. Following a review of their application and certifications, eligible candidates will be contacted by email with confirmation of their screening appointment.
Fall/Winter 26-27 Aquatic Staff Application Form
Our (2) Fall hiring in-person screening sessions will be held on August 29th @ 9:00am or September 11th @5:30pm. Applicants only need to attend one of these screening sessions.

Required Certifications
At minimum:
- Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard – Pool option
- Standard First Aid, CPR-C & AED
- Airway Management
- Lifesaving Swim Instructor
Assets:
- Lifesaving, SFA and/or NL Instructor
- Examiner designation in any stream;
- Instructor Trainer
Successful candidates (18yr+) will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check Level) upon hire.
