Soccer Summer Camp Counsellor
Our camps are designed to provide campers of all soccer skill levels with a positive camp experience filled with soccer skill development through drills, activities and games and the opportunity to meet new friends in a fun, play-based environment. Please note that this is not an elite camp but coaches are required to be knowledgeable about the sport of soccer. Coaches are expected to be responsible, supportive, engaging and outgoing to ensure that campers are having fun while being safe at all times.

Responsibilities
- Accountable for the safety and positive experience of all campers.
- Deliver age and stage appropriate daily soccer drills and skill development activities to campers in assigned group
- Set-up and clean up daily
- Be enthusiastic, energetic, engaging and supportive with all campers
- Be responsible for campers at all times
- Assist the Camp Lead, other coaches and volunteers when required
You Will
- Establish positive relationships with campers (ages 6– 12) that reflect respect, trust and empathy
- Use respectful, positive language & behaviour management techniques as needed
- Display professionalism with parents & colleagues (ex. punctuality, appropriately dressed, no cell phones, etc.)
- Receive ongoing informal feedback as well as a mid-summer & end of summer performance evaluation
- Attend the mandatory Staff Trainings prior to the start of camp & ongoing trainings throughout the summer
Qualifications
- Experience coaching/teaching sport(s) to children/youth aged 4 – 12
- Strong communication & leadership skills and the ability to be self-aware.
- The willingness to learn & grow in your role along with the ability to ask for help when needed
