Lynn Marshall

Swim Coach

Lynn Marshall is an NCCP Level 2 (Swimming 201) qualified swimming coach and has been coaching at Carleton University since 2001.  She is the Head Coach of the Carleton Masters Swim Team and a Manager and Assistant Coach of the Carleton Varsity Swim Team.  Lynn believes that technique is key to swimming fast and avoiding overuse injuries.

Lynn has been a competitive swimmer herself for over 50 years.  She holds or has held Masters World Records in nine different age categories, and was inducted into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame in 2011.  She is also an accomplished open water swimmer, and finished first overall (8 seconds ahead of the top men) in the 5km Open Water Swim at the 1992 World Masters Championships
