Intermediate First Aid, CPR – C/AED Certification
This training course (previously called Standard First Aid) covers all aspects of first aid and CPR. It incorporates all of Basic/Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including: legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, chest injuries, and medical emergencies. Includes CPR-C certification.

Please Note:
The first aid program is not restricted to aquatic candidates. You can use the Lifesaving Society’s first aid awards to train non-aquatic staff (camp, playground, maintenance, etc.) and the general public.
This SFA certification needs to be recertified every three years.

Lifesaving Society Verification of Identity Policy
Candidates will be required to provide their Instructor/Examiner proof of government-issued ID with date of birth and name for all original vocational courses and recertification, effective January 1, 2026. For additional information please visit their website.

- Effective January 1, 2026, a Capital Renewal Fee (CRF) of 3% will apply to select non-student facility rentals, programs, and services. - Lot 5 parking is not Free
- Please arrive 10 -15 minutes before the start of the class
