High Performance Para Swim
Our High Performance Para Swimming program provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to learn, develop and train competitive swimming skills in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment under the guidance of a NCCP Coach.

High Performance Para Swimming
This is a high-performance training environment designed for advanced para swimmers and paratriathletes committed to competing at regional, national, and international levels. This program supports athletes with physical, visual, and intellectual impairments who are ready to train with purpose, precision, and professionalism. Our coaching philosophy blends technical mastery, individualized training design, and race-specific preparation to maximize performance in the pool and open water.
To join this program, swimmers should:
- Advanced para swimmers with competitive experience
- Paratriathletes seeking structured swim performance training
- Athletes training toward national championships, international competitions, or Paralympic pathways
- Swimmers classified or in the process of classification
- 16yr +
Meet the Coach – Jenn Flemke

Jenn is an NCCP Competition‑Certified coach in swimming and triathlon, with experience coaching para‑athletes from the local to international level. A scientist by training, Jenn brings a research‑informed, athlete‑centred approach to high‑performance parasport. Her coaching background spans multiple sports, including previous roles in equestrian and soccer, informing a diverse and inclusive development philosophy. Jenn is a co‑founder of Paratriathlon Ontario, serves as a technical classifier with Triathlon Canada, and is a Learning Facilitator for Triathlon Ontario. In 2024, she was named Triathlon Ontario Coach of the Year and is currently pursuing the NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma.

Important Notes
- Refunds or credits for missed sessions will not be provided.
- Make-up sessions can not be arranged, and substitute (non-registered) swimmers are not permitted.
- Please arrive (5-10) minutes before the start of the class and proceed to the Welcome Centre Desk to check-in before going to the pool-deck. Showers and day-use lockers are available — we recommend bringing valuables to the pool deck in a gym bag.
- Includes Lot 5 Parking. Parking codes will be included in your registration confirmation and welcome email.
- Registration is required in advance and space is limited.
- The Pool Gallery (accessible on the 3rd floor) is available for parent/guardians

We are thankful to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities for selecting Carleton University to receive a grant from their Sport Relief Fund. With Jumpstart’s support, we are able to provide equipment, quality coaching and subsidized registration fees for all participants who attend our Adaptive Sport programs.
