Construction set to begin on Carleton Athletics’ new 11,000 sq. ft. fitness centre.
This summer is an exciting time for Carleton Athletics, as we prepare for the return of the Ravens varsity football program and the construction of our new fitness centre, opening in 2013.
In the coming weeks, construction will begin on an addition to Alumni Hall for a football team room and the expansion of the fitness centre. Workers will be relocating the building’s water main next week, with minimal disruption to patrons. The road at the end of Alumni Hall will be reduced to one lane and the first row of parking spaces in Lot 5 will be temporarily designated to the construction site.
The new fitness centre will include everything from brand new cardio, weight and fitness equipment, and will be used by Carleton’s students, staff and community patrons.
