Due to recent measures implemented by the Government of Ontario, Carleton Recreation and Athletics will be closing all of our facilities, camps and programs until further notice.

Please be advised that Carleton University will be requiring proof of full vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 commencing March 14, 2022.

Mandatory vaccination requirements have been in place for all community members 12 years of age and older since September 8, 2021.

Any individual who believes they cannot be vaccinated on medical grounds or other protected grounds recognized by the Ontario Human Rights Code can request an exemption.

Participants under the age of 5 who are not yet eligible to receive their COVID-19 Vaccinations must complete the pre-screening form for their program.

Not quite ready to commit to a full-year membership but interested in trying out what Carleton Athletics has to offer?  Then these pass options are right for you.  Day passes and Introductory Specials provide you access to our facility for use of the Fitness CentrePool, Sauna and CUFit Pass Fitness Classes.  (Please note Parking is not included).

Day Passes

Please note: Due to COVID we are currently not offering day passes. To use the facility you must purchase a membership.

Non-members may purchase a day pass at the Welcome Centre to use the facilities.

  • Adults: $12+HST
  • Non-CU Students and Guest of Members*: $8+HST
  • NEW: Fitness Class Drop-in $8.00 (HST Included)
  • 5 day passes (expires in 6 months): $35 +HST
  • 15 day passes (expires in 1 year): $100+HST

Attention Swimmers: Please be advised that Public Swim ID Audits could happen at anytime.

ALL Public Swimmers must provide proof of payment: HAND STAMP or RECEIPT. Members, faculty & staff, and registered Carleton Students may be asked to identify themselves by NAME and ID number so that ‘membership status’ can be verified.

Day lockers available for client use.

Please note: Due to COVID lockers are not available.

Day lockers available, 3 hour maximum. No overnight use, please ensure you remove all your belongings at the end of the day as lockers are routinely cleared.

Camps, Classes, Programs, Aquatics, Leagues & Intramurals

Requests for withdrawal from programs must be given a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of the program.

  • These funds can be applied to the client’s account as a credit, with no administrative fee.
  • These funds can be processed as a refund with an administrative fee of 10% of the program cost (a minimum fee of $10, and a maximum of $50)
  • No cash refunds will be issued.

There will be no refunds issued for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the beginning of any program. Requests for special consideration must be made in writing via the Refund Request Form to the appropriate Coordinator.


Cancellation of memberships for reason of injury or illness is permitted with the provision of a doctor’s note. 30 days advance notice is required for cancellation of a membership due to relocation. Accompanying documentation is required.

Cancellation for all other reasons requires 60 days advance notice. Refunds will be prorated to the date of the withdrawal based on our published fee schedule. An administrative fee of 20% to a maximum of $25 will be applied to any refunds.

Personal Training Services

Cancellation or refunds of Personal Training Services is only permitted in cases of injury or relocation. Accompanying documentation is required. Refunds are prorated to the number of remaining sessions at the date of withdrawal. The remainder will be refunded, less a $25 administration fee. Membership Hold Requests

We will gladly honour membership hold requests for medical reasons, or temporary relocation. Payroll deductions will continue during the hold period.
Hold requests must be submitted in writing (or by email) to the Welcome Center Administrator 10 business days in advance.

Holds will not be processed retroactively.
Members may request a membership hold once per year for a minimum of one month up to a maximum of six months.

For recurring payments, refunds will not be issued for requests within the current billing period. A payment may be required for the first month of your membership after your return (this is not an administrative fee or penalty).

There are no holds for Parking Permits.

  • Carleton Athletics memberships are open to the community (14 years of age or older).
  • Membership access includes: use of the Pool and the Fitness Centre.
  • Annual repairs and renovations –Renovations require extended shutdowns in late April and early May. Membership fees are adjusted accordingly and reflect annual shutdown. Please contact the Welcome Centre for details at 613-520-4480.
  • All members must check in at the Welcome Centre when entering the facilities and present a proper ID card. Users must carry a valid ID card with them at all times when using the facility.
