Ravens Sports Day Program

Carleton University offers a unique Sports Day for schools looking to participate in both traditional & nontraditional sports using its world class facilities.

Last year over 3,800 students visited the Department of Athletics for a day of excitement and new experiences led by our Ravens staff and varsity athletes. The Ravens Sports Day program invites students from grades 1 to 12 to participate in a diverse selection of sports. We pride ourselves on being able to offer students opportunities to participate in sports that may not be available to them in their physical education classes.

Note: Schools can also opt to include a recreational swim in our 50-meter pool as part of their day.

Ensuring that sports are taught in a positive, safe and inclusive environment for all students is our priority. Our campus is accessible to all and our pool is equipped with a Portable Aquatic Lift (PAL).

Our Sports Day program is flexible in adapting to the needs of schools.

A Raven Sports Day trip can be booked between May 9 and June 29. Please note that June 11 to June 15 is unavailable for booking due to Carleton’s Spring Convocation. Please also note that our pool will be closed from May 9-11 so no recreational swims can be requested on those dates.

Prices

In order to provide schools with more pricing options and to help reduce costs, we have adjusted our Ravens Sports Day pricing structure for 2018.

Group rates for May and June (all prices include taxes).

  • Please note these prices do not include a cafeteria lunch. Students can bring their own lunch for their Ravens Sports Day trip to help lower costs.
  • $465 per student group booked in May
  • $575 per student group booked in June

Groups can contain a maximum of 24 students.

Schools can opt to include a cafeteria lunch as part of their Ravens Sports Day trip for an additional cost of $8 per student/teacher/parent volunteer.

For example: A school booking 44 students for a Ravens Sports Day in May with a lunch option would pay:

  • 2 groups @ $465 per group = $930
  • 44 students @ $8 per lunch = $352
  • TOTAL cost = $1282

Just wanted to pass along a sincere thank you for all your help in coordinating the logistics of the visits for Carleton Sports. Day for Fisher/Summit.  There was tremendous positive feedback from students (loved the different sports, in awe of the facility, and could not stop talking about the lunch buffet!!!) and from the staff (amazing organization of the day and competence of staff – some were former Fisher students!).  We would be thrilled to have this opportunity continue as a new tradition for Fisher/Summit and look forward to returning next year.  Thank you again for all your support and flexibility

Jennifer (Principal, Fisher Park/Summit Alternative PS)
