As Canada and the world respond to COVID-19, Carleton is also monitoring the situation very closely. While the pandemic constantly evolves, we continue to hold the safety and well-being of all of our constituents paramount in all decision making.
In conjunction with recent steps taken by the University, Carleton Athletics is cancelling our 2020 Ravens Sports Day Program.
Carleton University offers a unique Sports Day for schools looking to participate in both traditional & nontraditional sports using its world class facilities.

Last year over 3,800 students visited the Department of Athletics for a day of excitement and new experiences led by our Ravens staff and varsity athletes. The Ravens Sports Day program invites students from grades 1 to 12 to participate in a diverse selection of sports. We pride ourselves on being able to offer students opportunities to participate in sports that may not be available to them in their physical education classes.
Note: Schools can also opt to include a recreational swim in our 50-meter pool as part of their day.
- Field hockey
- Spike Ball
- European handball
Ensuring that sports are taught in a positive, safe and inclusive environment for all students is our priority. Our campus is accessible to all and our pool is equipped with a Portable Aquatic Lift (PAL).
Our Sports Day program is flexible in adapting to the needs of schools.
- Variable arrival and departure times
- Custom programming
- We are flexible in group sizes in order for classes to stay together
- Schools can also opt to include (for an additional cost) a nutritious buffet lunch provided by our Fresh Food Cafeteria or choose for students to bring their own brown bag lunch to help minimize the cost of their trip.
A Raven Sports Day trip can be booked between May 6 and June 26, 2020. Please note that June 8 to June 12, 2020 is unavailable for booking due to Carleton’s Spring Convocation.

Just wanted to pass along a sincere thank you for all your help in coordinating the logistics of the visits for Carleton Sports. Day for Fisher/Summit. There was tremendous positive feedback from students (loved the different sports, in awe of the facility, and could not stop talking about the lunch buffet!!!) and from the staff (amazing organization of the day and competence of staff – some were former Fisher students!). We would be thrilled to have this opportunity continue as a new tradition for Fisher/Summit and look forward to returning next year. Thank you again for all your support and flexibility
Jennifer (Principal, Fisher Park/Summit Alternative PS)
