In conjunction with recent steps taken by the University, Carleton Athletics is cancelling the Junior Ravens Spring Football program.

Junior Carleton Ravens Football provides age and skill-appropriate football training for youth between the age of 4-17. Winter and spring training sessions offer 4 development streams of programming: Just PLAY!, Introduction, Advanced, and High-Performance.
The Just PLAY! football stream aims to build a foundation of athletic skills in a non-contact setting, creating a fun, safe, and active environment for all participants to learn the game!
Looking to try tackle football?
The Introduction stream is the perfect place for new players to develop FUNdamental football skills and techniques such as running, catching, throwing, tackling, and blocking. Through a progression of safe drills and games which promote self-confidence, teamwork, and fun through the game of football, this is the best place to learn the game.
The Advanced programs reintroduce the everyday skills that are required to becoming a competitive football player. Competition and position-specialization, are the guiding principles. The High-Performance “Prospects” program is the most comprehensive and widely endorsed training for the returning athlete in football. All athletes must meet the assessment criteria in order to move into advanced programming.

Learn basic playing skills related to the game of football in a fun, safe and active environment. Running, Catching, and Throwing are the main skills developed in a series of age-appropriate activities and games.
Stage of Development: Active Start, Fundamentals, No-Tackle
Experience: 0 – 2 years of football
Learn the fundamental movement patterns that are critical to the development of athletic motor skills in any sport. Learn the different positions and rules of football that help develop athleticism, self-confidence, and teamwork.
Stage of Development: Fundamentals, Learn-to-Tackle, Tackle-Development
Experience: 0 – 4 years of football

Blitz or Rush the quarterback this summer and be a Raven for a week in the Ravens Football Skills Camp.
The Junior Ravens football program has set out to introduce the game of football to new participants. This weeklong summer camp provides youth football activities in a safe and structured environment, promoting the values of teamwork, respect and confidence. All of our programs have been designed through Football Canada’s recommendations in Long-Term Athlete Development.
Our goal is to expose 10,000 youth to the game of football by 2025.
