2023 Ravens Baseball Camp (Ages 7-12)
The Ravens Summer Baseball Camp is designed for beginner and intermediate players as players will be grouped according to skill, age and gender (where appropriate). The goal of the program is to introduce new players to the game of baseball in a positive and safe environment. Players with more experience will be challenged to improve their skill set and expand their knowledge of the game.
The program is designed and instructed by our Ravens’ varsity baseball players and other baseball specialists.
The majority of the day will be spent on baseball related activities with skills such as fielding, catching, hitting and pitching being emphasized.
NEW FOR SUMMER 2023: Due to the popularity of our baseball camp, we have added an additional week.
CONTINUING FOR 2023: A full cafeteria lunch will be offered as an optional add-on to your summer camp registration at a cost of $43 per week ($34.40 for a 4 day camp).
The Ravens Baseball Camp will cost $308 ($277 for 4 days) without a cafeteria lunch.
The Ravens Baseball camp makes use of the full range of Carleton University’s modern indoor and outdoor facilities. These facilities include Raven Field, Ravens Perch (stadium field), Fieldhouse, Norm Fenn Gymnasium and our Olympic-sized swimming pool.
Each day we prepare two complete schedules, one including outdoor activities and lessons for good days and the other for wet or excessively hot days which takes place entirely indoors. There is no need to worry about campers being bored if the weather turns bad.
Off Campus Activities:
Parents please note that for parts of the day, your child will be playing baseball on one of the diamonds at Brewer Park. Brewer Park is located directly east of athletics. To get to and from the baseball diamond, your child will be walking safely with our counsellors.
The registration fee includes a t-shirt and recreational swim. Please note that a full cafeteria lunch will be offered as an optional add-on to your summer camp registration as a cost of $43 per week ($34.40 for a 4 day camp). Parents also have the option to pack nutritious lunch for their child as an alternative. Campers in the same group who bring their own lunch will sit together at a location outside of the cafeteria. Unfortunately, campers who bring their own lunch are not permitted to eat inside the cafeteria.
Campers should bring their own baseball glove. All other equipment will be provided. It is optional for campers to bring their own batting helmet and/or cleats.
