As most of you know already, exam period is once again underway at Carleton. Exams can cause overwhelimg stress and are the only things that stand in the way of summer. To make your life a little bit easier here’s a list of 9 unusual study hacks that may help you ace your finals.

1. Chew Gum

While studying chew a specific flavour of gum and then chew the same flavour while writing your exam. Studies suggest that this can help jog your memory.

Reviewing course materials through different formats allows your brain to better absorb information. A great and entertaining way to do this is by supplementing course materials with YouTube videos or documentaries on course topics. This will also help refresh your memory.

After reading a chapter in your textbook or re-writing several pages of notes reward yourself.
