The third week of the Sunday Coed Intramural Basketball League wrapped up this past weekend and we still have two teams with perfect records!
In a highly anticipated match-up between two juggernauts, team McNabb maintained their unblemished record scoring a 61-47 victory over the previously unbeaten Bandwagoners. McNabb utilized their strong shooting skills and teamwork to overcome their opponents and will certainly be a force to be reckoned with in the games to come!
Meanwhile, the ever entertaining and charismatic Dablings also remained unbeaten with a 52-26 win over the Tropics. In addition to remaining undefeated, the Dablings are also gaining some notoriety for their amusing post-game antics and in the process, are becoming the fan favourites of the league!
The other game of the week featured “Rowers at Heart, but Balls in Deep” and the Flaming Jalapenos. A close matchup eventually saw the Rowers pull away in the end to a score a 10- point victory over the Jalapenos 46-36.
This coming week will again include three games beginning at 3 pm with the Bandwagoners battling the Flaming Jalapenos, followed a 4 pm with those “Rowers at Heart, but Balls in Deep” taking on the Tropics, and finally at 7 pm, we are scheduled to see a clash between two 3-0 teams as the Dablings will face McNabb in a game that may upstage the Super Bowl…maybe.
