LIFESAVING SOCIETY SWIM INSTRUCTOR

The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life program. Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, planning skills, and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques. Content includes learning styles, progressions, safety supervision, lesson planning and providing effective feedback.

Prerequisites:

  1. 15 years of age by the end of the course
  2. Bronze Cross certification (need not be current).

Program Fee: $167 + HST / Instructor Manual Pak Fee – $75.00

Program Dates:

Offering #1: Sunday(s) May 4th, 11th, 25th and June 1st,  10:00am -3:30pm

*No class Sunday May 18th

Offering #2: Sunday(s) June 8 – June 29th, 9:00am – 2:30pm

This is a 20hr course. Candidates are progressively evaluated, so 100% attendance is required.
