Standard First Aid, CPR-C/AED: Certification & Recertification

Full (Original) Standard First Aid Certification Courses

This combined course certifies participants in Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED. The cost of the LSS First Aid Manual ($20) is included in the course fee. This SFA certification needs to be recertified every three years. Participants will need to attend both of the two days In order to recertify this Lifesaving Society (LSS) SFA course, candidates will need to attend a 1-day LSS SFA Recert course. ** See information below regarding re-certification courses**

Fall 2024 Course Dates – Full (Original) SFA

Saturday Sept. 14th & Sunday Sept. 15th – 8:30am – 5:30pm

Saturday Nov. 16 & Sunday Nov. 17th – 8:30am – 5:30pm

Recertification of Standard First Aid Certification Courses

Course is designed to recertify participants’ Lifesaving Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED. Your original certification or last full-cert SFA qualification cannot be expired and it must be from the Lifesaving Society. If your LSS SFA is expired (more than 3 years from the initial certification date), candidates must do a 2-day Full-cert SFA course. Note: Those who have SFA certifications from the Red Cross, St. John’s Ambulance, Canadian Ski Patrol or a Paramedic Service, CAN NOT recertify in this course. This is for Lifesaving Society SFA recertification ONLY. ** Proof of your last LSS SFA certification is required. This is a RECERT course **

Holders of Standard First Aid certificates from other agencies may not recertify their certificate on a Lifesaving Society recertification course. They may recertify only with the original certifying agency.
