Register your child for Carleton Ravens Football Camps! Since 2012, Carleton Ravens Football programs have offered a safe and fun way for children to fall in love with football. Your camper will love the age and skill-specific programs offered in both tackle and non-tackle settings.

Registration for our summer land camps opened on Tuesday, January 16 at 9:00am.

We will be offering a Flag Football Camp (non-tackle) and a Tackle Football Camp (equipment provided) for summer 2024. Please see details below.

RAVENS FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP (Ages 8-11)

Carleton Ravens Football Camp is proud to offer Ottawa a non-contact flag football camp that introduces athletes to football through developing fundamental skills in a positive and safe environment. Flag football is an excellent way to develop skills as a quarterback, receiver, center, and defensive back. The game promotes the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication and sportsmanship. This camp is geared towards beginner and intermediate players.

Campers will be coached by players of the Carleton Ravens football team.

The registration fee includes a t-shirt and recreational swim.

Camp Price (Includes a Cafeteria Lunch)

The Ravens Flag Football Camp costs $370 ($333 for a 4 day camp)

Facilities

The Ravens Flag Football camp makes use of the full range of Carleton University’s modern indoor and outdoor facilities, so there is no need to worry about kids being bored if the weather turns bad. Each day we prepare two complete schedules, one including outdoor activities for good days and the other for wet or excessively hot days which takes place entirely indoors. The facilities used include Raven Field, Ravens Perch (stadium field), Fieldhouse, Olympic-sized swimming pool with diving boards, multipurpose rooms and the Norm Fenn Gymnasium.

Off-Campus Activities:

Parents please note that for parts of the day, your child may be playing on the football field located at Brewer Park. Brewer Park is located directly east of athletics. To get to and from the football field, your child will be walking safely with our counsellors. 

What’s Included

The registration fee includes a t-shirt, recreational swim and a full cafeteria lunch. Please note our cafeteria does not use any peanut or tree nuts in their recipes, and does not purchase products with peanuts or tree nuts in the ingredient list. However, there is always a risk of cross-contamination due to its open kitchens and self-serve style. Hence, we advise parents of children with food allergies to communicate these allergies to us when registering.

Dates & Times

  • Our Ravens Flag Football Camp runs for 5 Weeks from July 2 to Aug 2
  • The hours of the camp are from 8:30am to 4:30pm daily
    • Drop off is from 8:30am to 9:00am
    • Pick up is from 4:00pm to 4:30pm
    • Drop off & Pick up will take place outdoors on TAAG Park (stadium field). 
  • Optional Early/late care will be offered at a cost of $30 for the week.
    • Early care runs from 7:30am to 8:30am
    • Late care runs from 4:30pm to 5:30pm

RAVENS TACKLE FOOTBALL CAMP (Ages 10-13)

The focus our of Ravens Tackle Football camp is to teach young athletes basic football skills and techniques and how to play the sport in a safe and proper manner. All practices and drills are engaging and taught from a progression model that is age and skill-appropriate. The goal is to prepare players with the necessary skills and confidence to continue playing football. This camp is geared towards intermediate & advanced athletes.

Athletes will be coached by players of the Carleton Ravens football team.

The registration fee includes a jersey and recreational swim.

Equipment

The following equipment is provided (helmet, shoulder pads, pants). Equipment will be issued on the first day of camp.

Football cleats are recommended (but not required). Mouth guards are mandatory.

Camp Price (Includes a Cafeteria Lunch)

The Ravens Tackle Football Camp costs $465 ($420 for a 4 day camp).
