The Carleton Ravens are looking for reliable, confident and outgoing announcers, DJs and broadcasters for the 2023/24 season.

Game Day Announcers / DJs

General Accountability: This position reports to the Game Day Experience Co-ordinator and is responsible engaging fans and spectators throughout the venue bringing the fun to the crowd throughout the events.

The Game Day Announcers and DJs works closely with the Game Day Operations Co-ordinator in all aspects of game day hosting and fan experience.

Specific Accountabilities: 

  • Provide 100% satisfaction to our fans at every varsity home game
  • Provide a fun and welcoming environment for all fans by understanding and using established processes and rules
  • Be knowledgeable of sports, fan engagement and current trends in able to deliver an exceptional game day experience
  • Respond to customer inquiries for information while representing the department
  • Any other duties necessary to provide fast and friendly hospitality

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of sports and crowd engagement
  • Knowledge of audio systems is an asset
  • Other duties as assigned.

Sports Broadcaster

General Accountability: This position reports to the Assistant Manager, Digital Marketing and Communications, and is responsible hosting and providing content for Carleton Ravens broadcasts.

The Sports Broadcaster works closely with the Assistant Manager, the Game Day Producer and their broadcast partner in the delivery of top-tier webcasts..

Specific Accountabilities: 

  • Hosts and provides full game coverage of Ravens Broadcasts including in-game and between period/halftime content experiences.
  • Provide thoroughly researched and prepared content to help guide those tuning into Ravens broadcasts through the entire game experience.
  • Be knowledgeable of sports, providing insightful commentary and banter with their partner to deliver a smart, entertaining game coverage.
  • Work with the broadcast producer to ensure game graphics, halftime/intermission content and packages fit within the broadcast.
  • Work directly with the Assistant Manager to ensure  all sponsor and game production partners are included and presented professionally throughout the presentation.
  • Any other duties necessary to provide friendly hospitality

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of sports and broadcasting
  • Knowledge of the league, sport and trends in university sports broadcasting
  • Other duties as assigned.
