HEALTH & SAFETY

We have taken the following steps to ensure a safe environment in our Fitness Centre:

  • Patrons must book their training session prior to coming to the Fitness Centre
  • Walk-in workout sessions are not guaranteed, and for the initial 30 minutes of the session, priority is given to those who booked their appointments.
  • Non-members will not be able to book drop-in training sessions at this time.
  • All patrons must check-in at the Fitness Centre desk before being given access to enter for their workout.
  • Access to the facility is limited to 50 patrons at one time.
  • Each patron will be asked to complete a mandatory waiver form at time of booking their workout as well as a mandatory COVID-19 screening -the day of- their scheduled training session.
  • After each workout time-slot the Fitness Centre will close for 30-minutes to complete a full cleaning.
  • Patrons will be given their own cleaning bottle to clean the equipment before and after use. Paper towels will be available throughout the facility.
  • Fitness Centre staff will be wearing masks at all times, and patrons are encouraged to do so as well, but masks are not mandatory during exercise.
  • Small equipment, such as foam rollers, bands, ab wheels, medicine balls, etc. will not be available at this time.
  • Some equipment has been removed and other pieces have been taken off-line to allow for proper social distancing.
  • Space around equipment has been marked out to ensure proper distancing and equipment is not to be moved out of the designated areas.
  • Walkways and directional arrows have been marked and patrons are asked to follow the direction of travel when moving through the facility space.
  • No “spotting” will be permitted.
  • No food or drink (except for a water bottle with lockable lid) will be permitted inside the Fitness Centre.
  • Water fountains will only be available for touch-less bottle refill.
  • Showers and lockers will not be available at this time. Patrons are asked to come dressed ready in athletic clothing.
  • Staff are screened for COVID-19 symptoms prior to each shift.
  • Patrons are asked to screen for COVID-19 through the Daily Screening Form.
  • Patrons are asked to follow proper social distancing (10 feet or 3 meters) inside the Fitness Centre and to adhere to our Member Code of Conduct to help ensure a safe environment.
