The Carleton Sports Camp Advantage

For over 40 years, Carleton University has been offering Ottawa's finest sports camp experience for kids aged 4 to 17. Check out our wide variety of sports camps and children’s programs offered year-round.

Summer Camps

The Carleton University Summer Camps offer a full range of single sport and multi-sport camps for kids aged 3 1/2 to 17. Our popular sports camp has been an Ottawa institution for 40 years, and many of our current campers’ parents attended our sports camps when they were children. We also offer a range of specialty camps where children can hone their skills in one specific sport. Sports include:

  • Basketball, Hockey, Leadership, Ringette, Soccer & Tennis

Summer Camp Facilities

Summer camp capacities are based on our indoor facilities, so that in the event of inclement weather we can offer a full range of programming to all of our participants. Each day has both and wet and dry schedule to keep your children engaged, active, and safe regardless of the outdoor conditions.

The camps make use of the full range of Carleton University’s modern Physical Recreation Centre: including the Ravens’ Nest, Fieldhouse, Olympic-sized swimming pool with diving well, squash courts, multipurpose and combatives rooms, tennis bubble, Norm Fenn Gymnasium, and turf Ravens’ Field.

Summer Camp Staff

All of our Camp Staff are First Aid and CPR certified and have participated in extensive staff training with high focus given to emergency procedures and age-appropriate sports and recreation programming. All Camp instructors have completed the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) Level 1 and are drawn from varied sports backgrounds, including many athletes from the Carleton University Varsity program.
